How we write guides
We only publish a guide when there's a question our calculators can answer better with a table than with a single result, such as how the best tax regime changes across salaries. The numbers are computed when the site is built, using the same code you use on the calculator pages, and each guide says exactly what it assumes. Read more in our editorial policy.
